Where I ship

I ship to every EU country. Every parcel is tracked.

I don't ship to the United Kingdom from this website. If you live in the UK, you can buy my books through the other platforms on the Where to buy page.

Shipping costs

The shipping price is calculated in the cart as soon as you choose your country. It is the carrier's price for your parcel's size and weight, plus €1.50 for packing materials, and you always see it before you pay. If you buy several items, they travel together in one parcel and you pay shipping once.

When it arrives

Orders are usually posted within 3 working days of payment. The carrier's estimated delivery time is shown at checkout. You get an e-mail with the tracking number as soon as your parcel is on its way, and you can also find it in your account.

If your parcel arrives damaged, please e-mail mail@vire-books.com with a photo as soon as you can, ideally keeping the packaging.

Your right of withdrawal

These instructions follow the model in Annex I, Part A, of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005) and Directive 2011/83/EU.

Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason (Art. 52 Codice del Consumo). The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier named by you, take physical possession of the goods. If you ordered several items that are delivered separately, the period runs from the day you receive the last one.

How to withdraw. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform me of your decision by a clear statement. The easiest way is the withdrawal function on this website: fill in your name, e-mail and order number and confirm, and you immediately get an e-mail confirming that your withdrawal was received, with its date and time (Art. 54-bis Codice del Consumo). You can also e-mail mail@vire-books.com, or use the model withdrawal form below, but that is not obligatory. To meet the deadline, it is enough that you send your statement before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw, I will refund all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery, without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of the day I am informed of your decision (Art. 56). I use the same means of payment you used for the purchase, unless you expressly agree otherwise; in any event, you will not pay any fees for the refund. I may withhold the refund until I have received the goods back or you have supplied proof of having sent them back, whichever is earliest.

Sending the item back. Please send the item back to Maeyke Kok – VIREBOOKS, Via del Pie Calato 9, Vellano, 51017 Pescia (PT), Italy, without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of telling me you are withdrawing. The deadline is met if you send the goods back before the 14 days have expired. You pay the direct cost of returning the item (Art. 57). Please pack it well and use a tracked service; I'm happy to suggest a carrier.

Condition. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling them other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning (Art. 57(2)). In practice: looking at and leafing through a book is fine.

Exception. The right of withdrawal does not apply to custom orders, that is, books rebound or notebooks made to your own specifications (Art. 59(1)(c) Codice del Consumo).
